Oregon's first negociant project

A to Z Wineworks is a négociant project started in 2001 by two couples with expertise in the Oregon wine industry. It was formed by Bill and Deborah Hatcher, the first general managers of Domaine Drouhin Oregon, Sam Tannahill, former winemaker at Archery Summit, and Cheryl Francis, Tannahill's wife and the first winemaker at Chuheilum. Based on the connections and experience that the four of us have cultivated over the years, we source grapes from distinctive fields across the state and pursue low-cost, low-priced, value-added Oregon wine.

Pure expression of breed characteristics

A to Z sources grapes from more than 100 contract vineyards across Oregon, from the northern Columbia Gorge to the southern Rogue Valley, and the grapes are planted individually. We aim to produce wines that purely express the characteristics of each variety through careful blending, avoiding excessive extraction and the use of new barrels, and carefully identifying the characteristics of each grape.

In 2007, we acquired the historic Rex Hill Vineyards, expanding our production scale and now becoming one of the largest producing brands in Oregon. Recently, we have been working on stable quality improvements based on a long-term vision through experienced teamwork, such as sending cultivation consultants to convert our contract fields to sustainable cultivation.

A to Z has greatly contributed to the popularization of Oregon wine throughout the United States, and has been awarded the 2010 & 2011 "By the Glass Top Oregon" by the National Restaurant Buyer Poll, the 2011 British Decanter Magazine "World Wine Award", and the 2015 Awarded ``Value Brand of the Year'' by Wine & Spirits magazine in 2017. The name A to Z refers to the wines that combine flavors from different regions across Oregon.

Rosé sparkling made using the secondary fermentation method in tanks. Maceration of Pinot Noir brings out the vivid color and a thick attack. Bright red fruit flavors of cherries, strawberries, and watermelon are harmonized with fresh, soft acidity, and the full fruit flavor lingers for a long time. First released in 2016.
