This wine has a deep ruby ​​color and is said to be able to withstand aging for over 10 years in good years. The winery has been operated by three generations since its establishment in 1936, and has been described by the D'Angelo brothers as a leading producer of Aglianico. It was also the first winery in Basilicata to use barriques in 1985. After the death of Lucio D'Angelo, his younger brother, his son Rocco took over as the owner in 2010, and uses traditional winemaking methods to make wine from Aglianico, which is said to be Italy's oldest variety.

The basics of the wine they make is elegance, with an emphasis on fruit flavor above all else. This difference in temperature, from 30℃ during the day in midsummer to 16 to 7℃ at night, brings out a deeper flavor. Harvest is usually from late October to early November, and the grapes are allowed to ripen slowly. The brand name, Ars Poetica, is derived from the epistolary poem "About Poetry arspoetica" by Quintus Horatius Flaccus, an ancient Roman poet from Southern Italy. It describes the thoughts and basic ideas about poetry. There is a statement that poetry must be elegant, and I sensed many things that wine has in common, so I chose this name to reflect my thoughts as a winemaker.

The average age of the vines is 40 years, and the aging takes place in Otaru for 15 months. It is called super basilicata because of its delicate, full, and unique flavor.
