In 1950, Silvio Nardi purchased 1,216 hectares of land in a beautiful area rich in nature in Montalcino, and in addition to selling agricultural machinery, he started a winery and poured his passion into winemaking. As one of the pioneers of Brunello, he was also a founding member of the association, which was established in 1967. It was Silvio Nardi's youngest daughter Emilia Nardi who established Silvio Nardi's fame today. When she became the representative in 1990, she reformed her field and renovated the cellar. She has achieved further improvements in quality. The field is 80 ha, located on a slope between 140 and 480 m above sea level in the western and eastern parts of Montalcino.

Located in the north-west of Montalcino, Casale del Bosco is an estate dating back to the 17th century that produces very elegant wines. ``Poggio Doria'' is the estate's signature cuvée. In 1962, he purchased another 40ha plot of clay-limestone soil called Manachiara in the eastern part of the country, 25km away. Like sunrise, it is located in the east, so it means "bright morning." It faces east and produces full-bodied wines. The wine of the same name is the estate's signature cuvée. Currently, 90% of the cultivated varieties are Sangiovese Grosso. In collaboration with the University of Florence and the University of Bordeaux, we spent 10 years concentrating 120 clones into 5 clones that were most suitable for this area.

The vineyards are located in the northwestern and eastern parts of the Brunello production region, which adds elegance and elegance compared to Brunello from the south, where the extraction is strong and powerful. Since 1994, we have adopted the cru concept and have been vinifying and aging our wines in separate sections. Brewing is basically done in stainless steel tanks, with some glass fiber tanks used. We use a combination of 500L French oak barrels and 5,500L Foudre from Slovenia. The aging cellar has a history dating back to the 1600s, when it was carved out of underground bedrock. Nardi's goal is to create a wine with a soft texture and elegant taste that is common to all wines.
