Mr. Christophe, the current owner of Domaine Jean Pernet, is an excellent maker who is highly regarded in the local area. Guides that evaluate this domaine's champagne are characterized by many sentences praising the precision of Christophe's work, such as ``Perfect construction. Just the right amount of liqueur added (2007 edition Guide Hachette).'' He owns a 17ha field centered around Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, which produces the finest Chardonnay varieties. This area has the highest density of chalky soils and is famous for being a 100% Grand Cru village. All of the domaine's Champagnes have a stylish flavor with rich minerality and sharp acidity.
In particular, his Blanc de Blancs GC has been called "a model of Blanc de Blancs produced in the Côte de Blancs," won the Grand Prix at a prestigious competition, and was awarded the highest rating at Guido Hachette.・It has received very high praise in the European market, having been selected as a de cour (an award given to 3-5 particularly outstanding wine brands from one appellation each year) (2004 and 2006).
At the domaine, carefully selected grapes are carefully pressed at the right time of harvest using a new Swiss-made pneumatic press. We aim to create a base wine with a clean taste while retaining the umami by clarification without filtering. Champagne made from carefully selected wines has outstanding balance and finesse. The domaine's motto is "accumulation of daily efforts for the highest quality." The crystallized Champagne has a transparent and extremely sophisticated taste that captivates those who drink it.
Blanc de Blancs is produced in the Grand Cru village of the Côte des Blancs. Very mineral and sharp taste. Approximately 45,000 bottles are produced annually.
