Bellavista is a representative of Franciacorta. Bellavista has now built a new winery in Tuscany. That is this "Petra". The winery is located in Maremma, Tuscany. Mr. Vittorio Moretti, owner of Bellavista, built an innovative and functional winery that is as committed to art as Bellavista, in this land where ancient Roman culture remains and is full of beautiful nature, producing attractive wine. I created it.
Petra has 300 hectares of land including vineyards, cork oak forests and olive trees, surrounded by cool breezes near the Tyrrhenian Sea that create a microclimate suitable for the ripening of the grapes. It is rare. The vineyard is carefully divided into sections, numbered from 1 to 12, and each section has its soil components analyzed in detail, and the optimal grapes are planted based on geological surveys.
Petra's philosophy is to "transcend time and space and continue to maintain quality in harmony with nature." The philosophical wine ``Petra'' also has a unique label. Artistic designs such as 12 rings representing the 12 months and 8 spheres representing the phases of the moon give a sense of the scale of this wine.
The beautiful and modern winery that symbolizes Petra was designed by renowned Italian architect Mario Botta. All label designs are also his own. While the exterior looks stunning, everything is about maximizing the value of nature. To this end, the design is based on nature and gravity, allowing the winemaking process to be completed without the use of machinery. The process of transporting the grapes from the center of the hill, where the temperature and humidity are optimal, is carried out without using excessive force by digging a tunnel.
