トリシア・ホーガン夫妻によって設立された、オーストラリアを代表するプレミアム・ワイナリーです。1970年初頭、デニス・ホーガンはカリフォルニアワインの大御所ロバート・モンダヴィの来訪により、家族が週末を過ごしていた牧草地が世界的な品質のワインを生み出す可能性がある土地であることを知り、自力でその土地を開墾し、ブドウを植えることを決断しました。モンダヴィの指導の下、1974年からシャルドネとカベルネ・ソーヴィニヨン、シラーズ、ピノ・ノワールの植付けを開始し、1978年にボブ・カートライトが初代のワインメーカーに就任し、その年に初めてルーウィン・エステートのワインが造られました。\u003c\/p\u003e\n
